Story Writing competition (2023-24)

The recent Hindi and English story writing competition held at our school showcased a remarkable display of imaginative prowess and creative flair among our students. As participants poured in their narratives, it became evident that each story was a unique manifestation of the boundless creativity dwelling within our student community.

Second Level Of International Olympiads

In the second level of International Olympiads the students of VISION VALLEY SCHOOL performed exceptionally well in various subjects. They secured very high INTERNATIONAL and ZONAL ranks.

Creativity Week

Creativity week was held from 3rd to 7th September’19 for classes I & II. The young students showcase their talents in various co-curricular activities. Competitions were held in the fields of Dance, Singing, Fancy Dress and Jumble Junk. The performance of the young students, were lively, energetic and innovative.

Educational Tour (Social Science)

What you read, you retain for a few days, What you see remains a little longer but what you do remains for a life time. In order to experience the farm life the student of class VIII went on a farm visit 14th September. They not only learnt about the various technique of farming but also first hand observed about the various aspects of farm life. Not just agriculture they also an learnt about horticulture and pisciculture.

Career Guidance And Counselling Workshop

In order to provide access to professional career guidance program to our students in the school itself, Vision Valley School, in collaboration with iDream Career, India’s largest career counselling organization, organized a free workshop for the students and parents of class XI to XII on 21 st July in the school Auditorium. The workshop helped the students and their parents to understand the need for scientific process of career guidance and counselling. The interactive session was an eye opener for the parents as the workshop unveiled various new career ventures available for the students. The intense career guidance and counseling programme aims to help the students discover their potentials at the right stage.

The students who would register for the Career Guidance Program would avail:

(i) Online Psychometric Career Assessment Test

(ii) Access to online information for parents and students about various courses and career option in India and Abroad and

(iii) 30 minutes personalized one-on-one session with trained and certified school career counselor in a private setting.

Teachers Training Workshop on Gender Sensitivity & Value Education

In order to upgrade and well equip its teachers in the field of education, Vision Valley School organised Training Workshop at the school premises on 2nd & 3rd July 2019. A very interesting and informative workshop on Gender Sensitivity was undertaken by Mrs. Swati Joshi. Another ‘Capacity Building Workshop on Value Education’ was conducted by Mr. T.C. Pant, wherein he affirmed the importance of value education in school life.

Annual School Awards

The much awaited result of the Annual School Awards based on the performances of the four houses for the year (2018-19) were announced on 24th April’ 2019. Godavari House bagged the Cultural Trophy whereas Cauvery House won both the Academics & Sports Trophies. The proud winners of the Overall Championship Trophy was Cauveri House.

INTER-HOUSE DEBATE COMPETITION (2018-19)

Students enthusiastically participated in the much awaited Inter-House debate competition. The topics were “Has the political class failed to meet the aspiration of Indian youth” for English and “नकद रहित अर्थव्यवस्था-चुनौती या अवसर” for Hindi.
Dhairya Lohani of Ganga House bagged the first position followed by Sanskriti Gupta of Narmada House in English debate.
First position was bagged by Nandini Parashar from Cauveri House followed by Anshika Jha from Godavari House in Hindi debate.

Every year ‘Prize Exams’ are held for the students of classes I to V for the subjects of Maths, English, Social Studies & Science to judge their knowledge & understanding in the respective fields. All students enthusiastically participate to showcase their competencies.

Scholarships are given to meritorious wards of widows, war widows etc. and to children who show consistent academic progress and come from economically weaker sections. To avail the scholarship for the next one year, application should be made well in advance.

BATTLE OF BRAINS

For the second time in a row Vision Valley School retained the title by winning the Battle of Brains Quiz Competition hosted by Kalpvriksha, a wing of the Kashipur chapter of Indian Medical Association(IMA). Hrishikesh Bhattacharjee of Class IX and Shreya Kapila of Class X qualified to represent the school in the senior category and went on to win the contest by securing first position. They were rewarded with trophies and cash prizes. Ketav Rastogi and Vishnupriya Bansal of Class VI, Pavni Tandon of Class IX and Raunak Mehrotra of Class X received motivational prizes.

RADICALS

For the first time ever in the history of Kashipur Gyanarthi Media presented the Redicals’15 Festival on 25th April. It was a grand event also comprising of ccompetitions like Debate, Face Art and Group Dance for the schools in and around Kashipur. Various schools from the region participated in the different events organized. From Vision Valley School Anshul Kansal and Lakshya Saxena participated in the Debate competition and Surabhi Kotnala and Isha Joshi in the Face Art. In both the categories Vision Valley stood 1st and grabbed the trophy for over-all excellence.

OUTWIT OUTPLAY OUTLAST

On 1st November, 2015 The Rotary Club, Kashipur hosted the 6th Zonal Cognizance Development Speech Contest. This competition was judged by a panel of seven Judges and Kamlesh Upadhyay, IPS was the guest of honour. The speakers from different schools spoke on topics like IT and Communication, Science and Technology, Politics etc. Lakshya Saxena of Vision Valley School, Kashipur left the audience awestruck with his eloquent speech on IT and Communication. The auditorium reverberated with applause and evidently Lakshya Saxena stood 1st in the Hindi Category and won the hearts of one and all.

SCALING NEW HEIGHTS

Building Author Sonal Kansal of class XII Commerce is all set to come out with her maiden work, a fiction novel which has been approved for publishing by Notion Press, Chennai.

Ishika Saxena of Class VIII, ho can very well be called the nightingale of Vision Valley, owing to her melodious voice has achieved yet another feat by making it to the 3rd round of Zee- Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. She was auditioned in Delhi by a team comprising of musicians Sajid, Wajid and singer Shreya Ghoshal.

SUDOKU CHAMPS

A Quicky Sudoku Competition was organized by Bhartiyam International School, Rudrapur wherein 9 students from Vision Valley School qualified for the final round, Over 30 schools from all over the region participated in the final held at Rudrapur. It was indeed a proud moment when three of our particapants Ravi Shankar and Ananya Madaan from Class VIII and Cherry Talyan from Class X secured positions among the top ten winners.
